Whether it's writing a requisitioned/themed piece for your event, performing, teaching, or all the above, I'm passionate helping people use poetry to connect stories to purpose. Michael N. Henderson III is a poet, orator, author, entrepreneur, TEDx speaker, and coach — beyond all else, an avid seeker of Truth. Combining his own lived experience with a clinically trained eye on the sociocultural moment, and translating both through a lens of faith, he wrote his book, The Birth of Light: Poems on a Pathway to Self-Acceptance.

His work moves in the tradition of Spoken Oratory — the artful, rhythmic, morally urgent speech of the great Black orators who used the spoken word as both resistance and ministry — fused with the psychological training and raw honesty that mark everything he writes and performs.

Michael partners with artists, entrepreneurs, executive leaders, pastors, and global speakers to craft their speeches, keynotes, and personal brands, bringing the same precision to their words that he brings to his own.

He is also co-creator of LikeU Cards, a conversation-starter card game built to end awkward conversations and combat cancel culture, carried in Barnes & Noble.
