Wendy Brooks - Square Dance Caller

Last weekend we had a backyard wedding with a few special friends and family. The family included 12 children aged 2 to 14. It was beautiful, even the weather was perfect. We decided on square dancing, we really wanted entertainment and fun for this diverse group. The first time I talked with Wendy I knew she was the caller for us. Even on the phone, I could tell she loves what she does. She brought all of the equipment. We had some special song requests for special dances and she provided all of those. We did some square dancing, which was difficult with the mix of children. But it was fun and Wendy knew the right time to try line dancing. Everyone had a lot of laughs and a lot of fun. Even the children got their own dance party going with some songs for them and a dance leader. All and all it was great and Wendy's joy while entertaining was contagious. We want to thank you Wendy for your helping to make the wedding fun and memorable and being able to get everyone involved.

Oh, my goodness! Our 60+ young people came not quite sure what to expect, but they had a GREAT time learning how to square dance! Wendy and her husband were terrific working with all of us--including leaders--to organize squares, teach, and help us learn together. We continue to hear from our youth how much fun they had and how they wish we could do this every month! The experience together helped us get to know one another better, unwind from the pressures of the first week back to school, and most of all, feel comfortable and confident in our new skill! Cannot more highly recommend the Brooks--we have enjoyed their leadership at a Family Reunion and now at our Youth Activity--they were a hit!

I recently contacted Wendy to teach our youth group how to square dance. She was competent and professional and she taught our bunch of greenies several new dances in less than an hour! We all loved it! I would definitely hire Wendy again!

Very fun night. Wendy taught us several fun dances; the variety was nice. The music was the best we've ever square danced to. Can't wait to do this again.

Wendy is a talented caller. She taught 112 kids to square dance in a short period of time. She was friendly, humorous, and fun. The kids had a good time. We really enjoyed having her and John come and spend the evening with us!
