Wedding Harpist DFW ~ Haley Hodson

My booking process is very organized! I have a waitlist form that takes about 1 minute and when I am ready to book, the client will receive an email with a wedding questionnaire, a pdf of pricing, and my song lists. The wedding questionnaire is extremely helpful for myself, the client and the wedding planner. I believe it’s very important to know all of the expectations of the wedding day in order to perform my job to the best of my ability. Once the client has filled out the questionnaire, I create a service agreement and send a deposit request. The remaining balance request will be sent 30 days prior to the event in order to alleviate any stress on the day of! Complimentary phone calls to discuss details and music selections are included.

Haley Hodson is a professional harpist and educator based in Frisco, Texas and has been playing the harp since she was 10 years old. Her first wedding performance was at the age of 12, and she even performed a duet with her husband on her own wedding day! She has performed at the American Harp Society Conference in New Orleans, the World Harp Congress in Hong Kong, the Lyon and Healy Summer Concert Series in Chicago, and presented her research at the World Harp Traditions International Conference in Ireland. She is a full-time harp teacher for Frisco ISD and maintains a full private lesson studio as well. Haley enjoys arranging and recording anything from classical to video game music and has over 30 pieces published. She received her Master’s degree from the University of Texas at Austin and her Bachelor’s degree from the University of North Texas.

Set up is very simple and requires no help from others. If the event is outdoors, I will ask for shade or possibly a heater. A smooth surface is preferable, and a well lit area is needed to perform.
