Pleasant, Professional and Exceeded our expectations!

We booked Wayne for our homeschool 10 year anniversary. It was a private dining experience and Wayne arrived prior to our event. Set-up was quick and he communicated very well from the booking, prior to the event and throughout the event...he was very attentive to our needs and desires. The sound was impeccable and enjoyable through our breakfast. He took a break during our intermission and returned promptly to complete the session.

Wayne was just what we needed to complete the ambiance, music selections were appropriate and seamless as we wanted continuous play. Enjoyable experience! We will definitely recommend Wayne if you are considering a Jazz Guitarist. Will definitely book again! Pictured below with my son and his play harmonica! Gave us all a laugh!

Hired as: Jazz Guitarist

What to expect

Great music for your private function! Background jazz guitar that can be played at a very low volume. One thing I've learned from playing in various situations over my life as a performer, instrumental jazz guitar is the perfect addition to meals and intimate gatherings where you want the focus to be on socializing. As soon as you add a vocalist the dynamic changes. Nothing wrong with singers! Just keep in mind that people quickly develop an opinion of the whole band based on the singer. Instrumental jazz played quietly can be a focus or can it can be a pleasing background. I perform both accompanied and unaccompanied. I use backing tracks in addition to solo playing. For an additional fee, I can bring other musicians along to do trios, quartets, or quintets.

Solo
Guitar

Duo
Guitar and bass or guitar and keyboard.

Trio (Please keep in mind that any band with a live drummer is going to be louder.)
The configuration is usually guitar, bass, and drums or guitar, keyboards, and drums

Quartet
Guitar, bass, drums, and keyboard.

Quintet
Guitar bass, drums, sax, and keyboard.

Additional booking notes

I generally bring just my amplifier, guitar, and a microphone if necessary. If it is a large function it is best to tap into the system provided by the facility or the function.

For solo performance, I only need about 5' x 5' of space.
