Water Tower

Kenny was an incredible help to me last week. My band cancelled the morning of our event & I was devastated. His band had a gig already but he offered to help me and texted a bunch of his friends. He was able to get us someone w 3 hrs notice. It meant a lot to me and even more to my parents that we were celebrating. Thank you Kenny! You’re an incredible human!

Water Tower was the perfect band to premiere our music venue to the local community, they embody all the things that were important to me in an event. To be so musically skilled and versatile while remaining personable and approachable humans makes for a very engaging show. Water Tower is made up of a cast of musicians each unique to themselves in how they show up in the world. Their apparent love for one another is an invitation to the audience to also show up authentically and know that they are welcomed to come as they are. Their rotating cast of guest performers and their collaborations with other bands reinforces the message that there is room for everyone where Water Tower is.

The moment a random video of Water Tower popped up on my feed, I knew I liked their sound and wanted to reach out about booking them. Interacting with Kenny reassured me they were the exact vibe I wanted. He is so easy-going and lovely to work with. Kenny, and the rest of the band sits in a perfect place of confidence and clarity without even a taste of arrogance or rigidity. I hope Water Tower is the new “house band” for Heartwood Mendocino and that our recent event was the beginning of a long relationship.

I became a fan of Water Tower through their original music, which remains my favorite to listen to but was impressed by their ability to get a crowd varied in age from 4 months to 87 years bouncing around through their creative covers ranging from Bob Marley to Blink 182 and Sublime to Bob Dylan. Their original tunes resonate in a way that connects me to my past and in-turn to the people dancing around and enjoying alongside me. The approachable demeanor of the band is the cherry on top to their musical chops that allow for creative arrangements, bitchin’ solos, and expressive lyrics.

My husband and I got in touch with Water Tower through a friend of the family when we were looking for a band to play at our wedding. From the get go, the guys were so great to work with. Not only did they share in the excitement of our wedding day, they literally accommodated every single request we had. As my husband's family is Cuban, we thought it would be a long shot to ask for a song in Spanish. Not only was it not a problem, they treated us to extra songs in Spanish! It was so special to hear songs that were so meaningful to us played live throughout the day. I can't describe how cool it was to show up at our venue (small state park in the woods) and hear them playing through the trees. The energy they brought to the day was absolutely fantastic and I can't recommend them enough.

We spent a whole afternoon enjoying this band. They are 2 guys. They were the heart of the party!!!!
