Violin & fiddle combines ancient, baroque, classical, romantic modern & folk music including unique interpretations of music for chamber ensemble, piano, blues to reggae to rock & roll, swing jazz to symphony orchestra.
Soaring melodic connections abound weaving music of Albinoni, Bach, Corelli, Chopin, Haydn, Mozart, Paganini, Schubert, Beethoven, O'Carolyn, Kreisler, Bela Bartok, Django Reinhardt, Dmitri Shostakovich, Igor Stravinsky, Stuff Smith, & Bob Wills with fiddle and dance music from around the world to create pleasing musical tapestries of stories within endlessly imaginative musical vistas...
The dimension brought to our soiree by Jeffrey's talent was priceless. I could go on and on about the beauty of his playing, the melody he helped set for the evening mood, the rapture of the audience (really!), the matching of the event pace with the tempo of his music and more and more but really just try him for your venue and you'll be the one praising his contributions. Let me just say that I'm looking for something special where I can have him play for us again. Perfect!
Response from Violinist and Fiddler Jeffrey Reynolds:
Thank you so much! A great honor to participate in this creative event together with family and performers on Halloween!
Jeffrey is an extremely gifted musician. His repetior runs the gamut. He's intuitive and sensitive to the needs of the ceremony and the client. He's also quite amiable and friendly -- we made him one of our guest. We wound up including him on everything, including dinner and wedding photos. He arguably made this ceremony what it was. And on such short notice. With just 3 days my original violinist had a medical emergency and had to back out. Jeffrey stepped up to the plate and restored all peace of mind! We now consider him about our friends.
Response from Violinist and Fiddler Jeffrey Reynolds:
My goodness! A great honor for me to participate in your beautiful ceremony~ and thank you again so much for making welcome among your family and friends afterward too!
We feel so lucky to have found Jeffrey on GigSalad. He is an exceptional musician and a very kind hearted person. Our wedding was somewhat short notice and we lived out of the area, so we didn't have a chance to meet up until the day before the wedding, though he offered to meet weeks prior to hear his music.
Jeffrey met us the day prior at the ceremony location and basically put on a private show for my fiance, family and I. It was very special to us. Our wedding wouldn't have been the same without the talent's of Jeffrey! We recommend him 100%!

When considering music for any event after our initial contact, it is sometimes necessary to discuss further details with messages here, and / or by email / phone.
I am also happy to schedule to meet to audition; or I can recommend an upcoming concert including my violin music. With adequate notice I am also willing to book additional dates for rehearsal related to events or weddings for an additional fee reduced from event rate.

Here below a bit more descriptive of my music, with some wedding specific musical details:
Thank you for thinking of live music for your ceremony!
As a soloist I play all kinds of violin and fiddle music, ranging from traditional to unusual wedding, classical and dance favorites.
When tune selections are up to me, I delight to play violin transcriptions of the Bach Suites for solo cello, and from the Six Sonatas and Partitas for solo violin, along with old songs by the Irish harper Turlough O'Carolyn and other swing jazz to traditional folk dance tunes from around the world …My repertoire spans from ancient to modern and folk music, from Pink Floyd to Beethoven, Haydn, Mozart, Schubert and Paganini to Terry Riley, Shostakovich, and Bartok, woven together with some of my own original extemporaneous compositions.
Many ceremonies have the following musical features, each with their potential song selections:
-Music begins as guests arrive (often about 1/2 hour) and continues until a signal or time for beginning of ceremony…
-ceremony officially begins with the Bridal Processional: a special musical selection or series of selections is played for the processional at the appropriate ceremony beginning time; (this processional could be subdivided into musical selections for seating of mothers or parts of wedding party, traditionally culminating with the bridal processional…)
-music may also accompany candle-lighting, sand pouring ceremony, a singer, or any other interlude during the ceremony;
-music accompanies the Wedding Recessional for the the bride and groom;
-and music may continue as guests congratulate, relax and depart to reception…
Additional Booking Notes
The violin is ideally suited for all kinds of events that require a pleasing yet audible sound without any amplification. The dynamic range of the violin is considerable and can be very soft and yet remain clear and moving, and yet if desired or necessary the sound can expand with a round full tone to fill a large hall or outdoor area. Combine this with the loving and experienced musical ear and touch of this over 40 year veteran of professional solo and ensemble performance ranging from chamber music to orchestra to jazz to blues and fiddle and world beat music, and you will share in and create a very memorable and unique musical experience!
