September 12, 2022Jeffrey is amazing
I can’t possibly say enough about Jeffrey. I hired Jeffrey to play for my in-laws anniversary dinner. My FIL has Parkinson’s and this was likely going to be their last anniversary together. Throughout the course of our communication, my FILs health deteriorated so quickly that instead of playing during dinner, Jeffrey played bedside at hospice. Jeffrey’s music was the most beautiful gift for a dying man and a couple celebrating 51 years together under such painful circumstances. He even played their special songs. Jeffrey was so flexible, kind and compassionate. I hired him to play for an hour but he stayed and played well over 2 hours. The other patients and staff in the facility lined the halls to listen to him play. I made all the arrangements from AZ and was not able to hear Jeffrey play in person but my mother and sister in laws both said he played beautifully. They loved everything about him. They sent me video and i would agree that he was wonderful. I highly recommend Jeffrey and would hire him again in a heartbeat should the situation arise.

What to expect
Thank you for considering live music for your ceremony or event!
Event and additional wedding music details traditionally settled before my quote offer at this site are listed here below:
> Date confirmation.
> Full address of venue.
> Arrival time preferred.
> Parking or loading recommendations.
> Times music will begin and end- (for weddings, from start of music as guests arrive through start of ceremony Processional, possible musical interlude, and ending Recessional music.)
> Placement and possible line of sight for violin (with signal or cue for music for wedding party, and bridal Processional)
> Confirm special selections of music (especially for wedding party and Bridal Processional, musical interlude, and Recessional; from any musical transition after ceremony to reception music or departures)
> Wardrobe preference (black and white, colors, tuxedo, tie, etc.)
> Outdoor event weather accommodations (if applicable for inclement weather or direct sun).
My violin and fiddle music ranges from traditional to unusual dance, wedding, baroque, classical, fiddle and old string band favorites; range of repertoire from ancient to modern, jazz to folk music, with musical homages to Bach, Beethoven, Haydn, Mozart, Schubert and Paganini, Terry Riley, Dmitri Shostakovich, and Bela Bartok... Through to natural extemporaneous compositions born from within life with the violin.
Wedding ceremonies often include the following musical features, each with their potential song selections:
-Music begins as guests arrive (standard time is about 1/2 hour) and music continues until a signal or time for beginning of ceremony…
-Ceremony traditionally begins with Bridal Processional special musical selection(s) to accompany wedding party to the altar and signal start of ceremony. Processional music can be one unified song or include more than one musical selection, such as first song while wedding party and groom approach altar, culminating with another song for bridal processional…
-A musical interlude may also accompany candle-lighting, sand pouring ceremony, a singer, or any other interlude during the ceremony;
-Music accompanies Wedding Recessional as newlyweds and wedding party proceed from altar for first time;
-Music may continue as guests congratulate, relax and depart to reception… where there may be more music!
Additional booking notes
The violin is ideally suited for all kinds of events that require a pleasing yet audible sound without any amplification. The dynamic range of the violin is considerable and can be very soft and yet remain clear and moving, and yet if desired or necessary the sound can expand with a round full tone to fill a large hall or outdoor area. With loving experience my musical ear is guided by decades of solo and ensemble performance ranging from chamber music to orchestra to musical theater to jazz, blues, folk and rock to honky tonk, Irish traditional to bluegrass and old-time fiddle to world beat music... I draw from my deep well cauldron of music to create magical memorable unique musical experiences!
