Vicki Smith, Harpist, Pianist, Organist

Vicki is an experience performer who is anxious to please. She is open to finding new music that satisfies the client.

Vicki Smith is a skilled performer at the harp, piano and organ. She plays a wide variety of styles on all instruments. Ms. Smith started studying piano at age five. She holds a Bachelor of Music Education degree with piano emphasis from Oral Roberts University. Ultimately, she entered the field of church music and became the Organist and Assistant to the Minister of Music at First United Methodist, Tulsa. She held this position for approximately 18 years. While there, she earned a Master of Music degree in organ performance from Oklahoma City University and was a student of Dr. Antone Godding. Later she became the Director of Music Ministries at Fellowship Lutheran, Tulsa. In this position, which she has held for 22 years, Vicki plays the organ and piano for services and events and leads a program of three vocal choirs, two bell and chime choirs, and instrumental ensembles, one of which is a harp ensemble. Vicki started studying harp several years ago. She uses this skill in serving her church.

In addition to her church music career, she plays gigs on harp and piano for anniversary parties, birthday parties, corporate events, weddings, special dinners at colleges, etc. Her harp is an electro/acoustic Camac pedal harp.
Vicki is a published composer with Choristers Guild and Concordia Publishing House. She currently self-publishes harp music. She has an organ tape entitled Cathedral Pipes and a C.D. of harp music entitled Golden Moments. Vicki teaches private lessons for organ and harp.

Ms. Smith is a member of the harp duo Strings and Pearls with Linda Barton Paul. They play concerts and many different venues with all kinds of music. They have recorded a C.D. entitled Christmas Moments.

She is a member of The American Guild of Organists and The American Harp Society.

For harp gigs, Vicki will need to be near electricity for using her amp to amplify her electro/acoustic Camac harp.
If the venue is outside, she would need to be in a space of easy access. Since the instrument would be damaged by rain, music could not happen during rain or cold temperature.
