What to expect

The harp instantly enhances any environment with it's gorgeous, reverberant sound and timeless class.
Drew can play just about any type of music or style, any artist, any soundtrack, etc. and can cater a playlist to specify a certain vibe for any event.
Drew plays just about all of his music from memory, so no music stand is typically needed.

The harp used is a Lyon & Healy Style 30, which is about 6'2 tall and weighs about 81 pounds.
When setup, it takes about 3ft x 3.5ft.
It is about as loud as a grand piano, so typically no amplification is needed, but it can be arranged.
Due to its large size, it must be carted around on a dolly (wheels) and therefore, anywhere the harp is taken must be able to be carted to, or ADA accessible. If there are stairs, a few small and stable steps are possible to get up, but very steep and narrow stairs would not be possible. A ladder would not be possible.
There must be a paved and stable surface to cart the harp to its place for the event; surfaces such as gravel, dirt, mud, patchy grass, or any other uneven terrain is not suitable.

The harp is very sensitive to weather events and therefore, any outdoor events must have a backup plan or alternative policy in place in the events of: Rain, Snow, Ice, or Excessive temperatures below 50 and above 80 degrees.
Direct sunlight during hot weather must be kept to a minimum to protect the varnish of the instrument.

About

Drew K. is a classically trained harpist, born and raised in Los Angeles, CA.
While a trained pianist first, Drew began playing the harp at age 15 under the private instruction of harpist Michele Adams, and eventually went on to study harp music in college under harpist Mindy Ball, of the Pacific Symphony in Costa Mesa, CA.
In 2020, just before the Covid outbreak, Drew moved to the Northwest Arkansas area and founded "Harp NWA", a project aimed at creating more awareness and opportunity for live harp music performances, as well as educational opportunities involving the harp.
In 2025, Drew became a substitute harpist of the Arkansas Philharmonic Orchestra (APO) based in Bentonville, AR.
Drew is a full-time musician who regularly gigs and is available for hire for a myriad of events and opportunities.
Drew can be contacted any time at (email hidden)

Additional booking notes

The harp does not have any pickups, so any sound amplification will need to be done with mics setup.
I unfortunately do not have my own mics, so any amplification equipment would need to be provided and arranged by the venue or host.
2 dynamic mics work well for the harp to capture both the treble and bass, the full range of the instrument. These mics would both need a stand as well to be held in place.

Many of the venues that I play at naturally have good acoustics and the harp itself is loud enough to resonate throughout the space, so typically, amplification is not needed. This would normally only be done during a large scale outdoor setup.
