Overview

I’ve been playing restaurants for awhile and I’m looking to expand and see what other events are available. I typically play solo jazz guitar, but occasionally collaborate with other artists (hence the band name “Very Few People”). Songs are a mix of jazz standards, ballads and a few “jazzified” pop songs added for variety. Spice up and enhance your event with some live jazz!

Professional. Engaging. Talented Jazz Guitarist.

Peter continues to be an asset to our music team. He plays for our elderly/assisted living patients, and they greatly enjoy and look forward to his performances. Peter creates smiles for those he plays for.

Awesome Jazz Guitar Performer

Peter Salerno performed a wonderful jazz guitar performance at our Gold Canyon Community Center Christmas party! Our crowd enjoyed the music so much. Peter entertained us with an excellent variety of music. Perfect volume that added to the ambience of the event, but still allowed conversation! Peter is an excellent choice for any event. We hope to have him perform at The Center again.

Highly Recommended !

Great experience! The music was 100% instrumental (guitar) and it worked well for our dinner party. About 90% jazz standards and then a jazz version of Hotel California and a couple other pop songs. He brought all the needed equipment and was there plenty early to set up and get tuned. Highly recommended.

About

Jazz and blues and a few “jazzified” pop songs. Typically solo jazz guitar (instrumental), but occasional joiners! VFP draws from the rich tradition of jazz ”standard” songs, many of which have been with us for nearly a century. These classics are interpreted, improvised on and used as a creative spring for fresh, in-the-moment ideas as well as compositions later in the studio. VFP is especially inspired by the great guitar legacies of Wes Montgomery, John Scofield and Pat Metheny. Performing live in the Phoenix area and beyond.

Additional booking notes

I bring all necessary equipment and sound system for the guitar performance. We can also use the sound system for announcements and/or to play recorded music during breaks, if desired. All that is typically required of the venue is a standard AC power outlet. Note that due to the presence of electronic devices in my setup, it it not feasible to play in rain or be stationed in close proximity to water mist sprayers.
