Zarni was absolutely fantastic at our event! It was a casual Tapas and Topics event and we were delighted to have her create a lovely atmosphere with her piano and singing skills, which are undoubtedly outstanding! She was very professional during the entire event, and made sure to ask us to make sure everything was as we wanted it. We loved working with her!
I booked Zarni for belated wedding celebration cocktail party in the penthouse of the Swans Hotel in Victoria, BC. She was fantastic and really made the party special. She has a large and varied set list, and she interacted great with guests including those that wanted to do a little singing and emceeing of their own. Everyone loved her! I highly recommend her and would gladly book her again.
Our company hires live music for corporate events at least a few times every year. Up until now, we've viewed the artists we've hired merely as a unique means of providing background music, however, Zarni took this 10x further! By the end of the night, she had a large group of our employees circled around her and her piano, and she was taking favorite song requests from every imaginable genre... she knew absolutely everything! She not only has a very impressive repertoire, but her performance abilities are extremely entertaining. She definitely stole the show, and it made our event so much better than we'd planned it to be! Thanks, Zarni!

What to Expect
Zarni's performances are custom made for each client. Some folks want a really upbeat evening where friends and family can dance and sing along. Others want a more intimate setting where music is merely adding to the ambiance of the party. With Zarni's extensive list of covers, over 700 songs (everything from Norah Jones and Billy Joel to Bob Seger and Taylor Swift) the party can be whatever you want it to be!
Brave but not brazen; honest but not brutal; familiar but not outdated, Zarni is an upcoming artist originally from South Africa that immigrated to the small town of Johnson City New York at age ten.
For those who like quirky, but not too quirky…Zarni’s music is the perfect blend of unexpected yet universal. Full-bodied piano parts support her memorable melodies and to the point, conversational lyrics.
In the past, fans and friends have seen Zarni in anything from noisy bars to intimate performance halls and whether solo or with a band, this singer/songwriter isn’t afraid to tear it up. Several showcases include WSKG TV, NewsChannel34, Winchester Community TV and the Steve Katsos show. Popular venues (The Bitter End, Endicott Performing Arts Center, The Binghamton Jazz Festival, Seven Seas in Cyprus, the Tanz Caf in South Africa, the High Dive and the Showbox in Seattle) from coast to coast have showcased Zarni (with a couple dozen other unique venues in between). Alongside performing, Zarni has also shared her passion for teaching music in the United States and abroad. In Limassol Cyprus she helped to write, choreograph and direct a short musical at the Xenia Tsolaki Private Institute to help young students with their English language skills. Zarni has always been the type of artist that tries to balance her love of performing with helping those around her with music.
From fundraisers, to community service projects, Zarni is always excited to raise money for others through music (Flood the Tier Fundraiser, CHOW Fundraiser and many more).
Zarni recently graduated from the Berklee College of Music with a double major in Music Education and Songwriting. During her time at Berklee she recorded and released two full-length albums: one self produced "Friday Night Lights" (2010) and "Straight Forward" (2011) and a 3 song EP (2012) both produced by talented Matt McArthur. Zarni’s music is available on Itunes.
