As a pianist for weddings, receptions, parties, and fundraisers, I provide an upbeat, soulful presence of music, giving your event a stylish, elegant atmosphere.

I've been playing for 40+ years, and my repertoire includes Broadway hits, American Songbook standards, popular music from the '50s-'90s, jazz, tango, new age, and classical.

…and a kind person who was prompt and professional. More important she has the ability to read a room. She understood exactly what this audience needed: nostalgia for the older folks and energy for the younger ones. I’m very pleased that I found her through Gig Salad.

Lady Makes Beautiful Music!

I couldnt have wished for better or more. Katherine was very communicative from the git go. On the night of our Open House, she arrived early to familiarize herself with the space and the piano and then played the overall program we discussed, and was receptive to requests. She really plays beautifully; a joy to have the house filled with her talent. When the evening ran long, she agreed to extend. I'll definitely be hearing more from her!

What to expect

If you're looking for an elegant, flexible, and upbeat musician, you've come to the right place! I make it a point to listen to the customer's needs, and to do my very best to give you what you want. I'm very easy to work with.
I usually take a short break every hour and a half, if a gig lasts longer than that. Otherwise, I'm happily playing the music I enjoy! I also love playing for holiday sing-alongs.

About

Katherine has had her fingers on piano keys since she started lessons at four years old. She plays background music during the summer at Clay Hill Farm Restaurant, an elegant five-star restaurant in Cape Neddick, Maine, and enjoys playing for private parties, wedding receptions, and other events. She has played piano for ballet classes for many years, and also accompanies voice and instrumental student recitals.
Katherine is also a church organist, and is available for weddings and funerals. She is classically trained, but also enjoys playing jazz, tango, Broadway, oldies, and ragtime.
