-Pricing depends on travel distance to the venue, duration and number of sets requested, and event time/day of the week. Weekend peak evening hours and holidays incur higher rates than week days and mid-day hours, for example.
-Events can be set up as an instructional lesson up to 1 hr long (such as bridal showers or cultural events), a performance show, or mixture of both.
-Sets can be tailored to the needs of the event but typically include a space appropriate prop, upbeat music and audience interaction (family friendly: ex: wrapping a veil over the guest of honor, bumping an unsuspecting guest’s chair back for attention, or fanning the guests with veils etc).
-A typical set is between 10-20 minutes. If multiple sets are requested, there is a break for a costume change between sets.
-If space and time choices permit, guests may be invited to get up to dance or participate in a short lesson and/or shimmy contest.
-Music preferences and theme are discussed prior to the show.
-Bluetooth compatible portable sound equipment can be provided if on-site arrangements cannot be made.
-For events where the performance is a surprise, arrival in costume is an option, though a changing area would be needed if a costume change is requested.
-Enjoy the flexibility and ability to accommodate requests for special songs, level of interaction with the audience or guest of honor (more focus on a single person/ group vs a stage show approach).
-Outdoor shows available (weather permitting) if on flat, even surfaces.
Expression through movement to bring joy to others is at the heart of my dancing. Blending movements and music from Egyptian, Turkish and Lebanese influences, I consider myself an American Cabaret style dancer. Incorporating prop work with veil, double veil, zills (finger cymbals), veil poi, isis wings, whirl wings and veil fans is also an expressive love of mine.
Dance and performance have been a part of my life since I was a child.
My love for Bellydance ignited after taking my first formal classes over 20 years ago. Since then I have taught and performed with multiple award winning dance troupes and as a solo performer for local restaurants and events.
My dance journey has brought me so much joy. I hope to share that passion and love of movement with my audiences.
