For in-person events, I can present at a podium with no technical support when appropriate. For presentations that are instructional or technical in nature, I prefer access to a screen or projector to display slides, along with standard AV support. Motivational or discussion-based talks do not require slides, while how-to or technical topics benefit from visual materials.
