About

Helen Whitehorn (steel drum player, pianist, organist), is the proud owner of the Ultimate Steel Band, which is primarily a solo act on steel drums and/or keyboards.

Helen's passion for music began at an early age where, as a 9-year-old drummer and pianist, she performed with her father's reggae band to sold-out audiences throughout Jamaica.

Soon she received training in classical piano, excelling as she received several distinction awards from the Royal School of Music (London, England) for piano performance adjudications, being one of the top piano students in her country. She also became a well-sought-after wedding organist by the time she was 14 years old.

Hiring the Ultimate Steel Band is a sure way to set the pace for any setting, be it a lively tropical-themed event, a more exclusive and sophisticated atmosphere, or just a relaxed get-together with family and friends.

Ultimate Steel Band's live music will be ideal for your event. Not only can you expect prompt and efficient communication, state-of-the-art equipment, and highly competitive rates (often negotiable to accommodate your budget), but also rest assured that your guests will have the time of their lives! Dancing, singing, or just relaxing and grooving...

Please take some time to check out our video and audio samples to get an idea of what's in store. Past clients have been raving in their reviews, both right here and elsewhere:
