Two Brothers Samba and Swing
Overview
Two Brothers Samba and Swing is made up of guitarist Ethan Roubenoff and trombonist Tommy Holmes. The pair met at Northwestern University, where they bonded over a mutual musical love of indie, jazz, soul, and much more. They now perform around the Bay Area, bringing free spirited enthusiasm and uplifting, inclusive vibes to coffee shops, salons, verandas, and all manner of arts-supporting communities.

What to expect
We use a parlor guitar and muted trombone to provide a balanced, unobtrusive acoustic sound with plenty of swinging energy! We cover swing standards like Mack the Knife and Ain't Misbehavin' and samba standards such as So Danco Samba and Corcovado. Melodies are separated by collaborative improvisation spearheaded by the trombone. Ethan and Tommy are always in fine humor, and are more than willing to engage with the audience between numbers if appropriate - we love music and people!
