I spoke at a conference with over a hundred women and that is when I knew speaking is what I am to do. I had my head down looked up and the women were giving me a standing ovation. In this instance when it come to issues that women endure we need to hear encouragement, along professionalism. I am alive and I want to share my story of suicide, teen pregnancies, domestic violence, rape, alcoholism, chronic illness, near death and much more. I am a HIV/AIDS Advocate

May 20, 2015Ms. Lawler's talk was a rousing success with our ladies, all who are also impacted by HIV. Her journey with her struggles connected with our attendees, and made for a very lively presentation. She was very moving and powerful to watch.
After her presentation which had everyone on their feet, she stayed and talked to the many women who gathered around her.

The speaking engagement in Dallas, Texas on May 3rd 2015 was awesome. That was the first time I spoke in front of almost 280 women with the same thing as I. As I finished my session I was walking down the stairs, looked up and they were yelling, crying and cheering. I got a standing ovation and the women all came up to embrace me and thanked me for being honest and sharing my story. Some said they were ashamed, but I helped them. I was happy that I blessed so many women. I was the only speaker to receive such a wonderful response. Eventually I would like to present a short play for the people.
BIO
Twana Lawler is a poet, author, screenwriter and playwright. When her creative juices get to rolling she is on fire. She was diagnosed with AIDs with dementia and two weeks to live. This was in 2013. She has written a couple of plays that went straight to DVD. "Who Did I Marry?" starring Terry Vaughn and Tommy Ford. She also wrote "God's Precious Jewels." Starring Robin Givens and Clifton Powell. She now has another book to add to the list, "MY LIFE (From Tragedy to Destiny) this is one of her best work. MY LIFE (From Tragedy to Destiny), contemporary, literary nonfiction, story of Twana Denise Lawler known to some as Niecy.
Twana wrote a play that placed third in a Gospel play contest.
She wrote a screenplay it placed third in LA Screenwriting Contest.
Just recently she won a poetry contest
