Kansas City's premiere fire performance duo, Tricks of the Light dances with flames, draws with light, and fights fire with fire. Featuring the talents of Cyricx, the martial arts master, and Viollca, the graceful dancer, Tricks of the Light’s mastery of exciting and unique fire props such as nunchucks, the “dragonstaff,” hula hoop, and swords thrill audiences young and mature alike. With over 25 years combined experience, the duo has a proven record of safety.
By mixing fun antics and playful banter with excitement, drama, and dance, they elevate fire spinning as a performance style. Tricks of the Light does more than put on a performance – they create a memory.
I have seen Tricks of the Light, many times around Kansas city. At the Kansas city Renaissance festival seven years running, also as part of other fire tribes. These three are the Best of the best, kind friendly but most of all Safe, very knowledgeable about fire safety.
These guys put on a wonderful show, great for all ages. They're easy to work with and all around great people. Thanks for coming to our party and providing such a fun and unique type of entertainment.
Tricks of the light was a very professional, friendly, and interactive show. The crowd was amazed and couldn't get enough of their stunts and stage performance. I am already in the beginning stages of planning another event with this group as the inspiration and a must. Thank you so much.

A typical 30-minute high-fire show begins with a fire-breathing intro, moving into medium fire solos by each of us, doing a medium fire duo choreography, two more high-fire solos, into two high-fire duo choreography pieces to finish the show off.
A 30-minute "Dancing Lights" show will be mostly solos, with LED tools such as double staves, staff, hoop, and puppyhammer, and a couple of duos with LED tools such as nunchucku and poi. Depending on the lighting situation, a "Dancing Lights" show may also contain illusion tools such as contact juggling and flow wand.
