Trading Faces AZ takes pride in a professional, clean appearance. Each team member is trained to meet and exceed artistic skill required for quality face and body painting. We use only the best products, all the products are fda approved. We also take great pride in bringing a lot of FUN to each event. We give personal one on one attention to each person who receives our services and we strive to bring out lots of smiles and giggles by the time our client is finished. We strive to please the customer and we usually succeed.

I love face painting and I love working with people. I have a family of my own, a husband of 32 years and two wonderful teenage sons. I have been involved in church childrens activities and events for almost 30 years and thoroughly enjoy working with children. When I work birthday parties and events, people will notice that I give close one on one attention to each and every person that sits in the face paintee seat. We have a lot of fun and it is not unusual to be invited back time and time again.
I take my art very seriously and constantly strive to be a better painter. I have taken several classes and I continually keep up to date with new techniques and designs. I had a manager a long time ago that said, "When you think you've done your best, do better." I also try to adhere to the idea of doing what I do to the best of my ability.
Talent is not all that is important though. I make sure to use the very best and brilliant product to ensure the best result. My main paints are Paradise and Wolfe brand face paints. The paints use Parafin wax and cocoa butter as their bases. The colors are brilliant and smooth. They dry quickly and stay on very nicely. Because they are water based, they wash off very nicely when you are ready to remove them. I use high quality face painting brushes. I used to use just any brush before I received proper training in face painting and I have to say that with the proper brush and brush training, my art kicked up to a professional level in a day! My glitters are face paint glitters made by a company called "Mama Clown". I have tried other glitters, but I have found these to be, by far, the very best! I use acrylic jewels that are applied with a drop of eyelash glue, that way they stay on nicely but are easy to remove when you are finished. Product is everything in Creating top notch designs!
I have built up a great team of face painters to help me out with larger events, such as fairs and festivals. They are well trained and meet my high standards of face painting. The art is not enough though. My workers also have great qualifications when it comes to working with people, especially children. I take great pride in hearing the oohs and aahs associated with their painting as well. I am proud of the team I have established and if extra help is ever needed for an event, my customers will be equally happy with every member of the team.
When I show up to a party or event, I strive to be as professional as possible. Each member of the team comes clean and pressed with a black apron. Our tables are covered in black cloths and our set up is clean. I am able to provide my own table, chairs and even a 10 x 10 easy up where it is needed. We also have a motto about leaving an event, "leave it cleaner than when we got here."
My favorite events to do every year are the ones associated with Mortimer Family Farms in Dewey, Arizona. I am their face painter for events ranging from the Corn Festival to the Pumpkin Festival and any others i can join. They are probably my best reference because I have spent so much time there. They could attest better than anyone to the work my team and I do. It is always a pleasure to work with them. I have also worked with the Verde Valley Fair in Cottonwood, AZ and the Coconino County Fair in Flagstaff, AZ. I have done events for several churches including Calvary Chapel in Camp Verde, AZ and the Ridge church in Prescott Valley, AZ. I've done birthday parties, neo natal sessions, and other events and they always seem glad that they've hired me.
As I said earlier, I have two wonderful sons ( 27 and 30). Since I have been so involved in children's and church activities, so have they. it is no surprise that both of them have received training in clowning and balloon twisting. They enjoy working with other children as well. I have to say that is one of the favorite parts of my job... being able to work with my boys. They have also been raised to work to the best of their ability and have received multiple positive comments from people at the events and parties we have done together. Having the boys with me just increases the fun!

We do have a white 10 x 10 easy up with flame retardant sides. We own gravity tubes that add a hold-down weight of 200 lbs. We also have lighting for the tent. If this equipment is needed for an event, electricity must be provided for the lighting. Also, the cost will go up for our services because of the set-up, take-down and transport.
