A member of the Worldwide Santa Claus Network, A member of IBRBS (International Brotherhood of Real Bearded Santa’s) and a member of the World Clown Association. I service the Phoenix Metro Area” Maricopa County, Scottsdale, Paradise Valley, Tempe, Mesa, Chandler, Gilbert, San Tan Valley, Sun Lakes, Ahwatukee, Maricopa, Queen Creek, Glendale, Cave Creek, Carefree, Fountain Hills, Litchfield Park, Guadalupe, Sun City West, Surprise, and Maricopa. I sing carols, tell stories, do Q & A and bring the magic!

We hired Todd to play Santa at a children’s Christmas party, and unfortunately the experience was very disappointing.
Several interactions with the kids were inappropriate for a Santa character, including telling children they needed to be quiet or they wouldn’t receive presents, and making comments suggesting a child was “too old” to visit Santa. This resulted in multiple parents expressing concern afterward, and several children referring to him as “the grumpy Santa.”
Based on our experience, I would not recommend this Santa for children’s events.

We had the best time with Santa. This was an adult party. He sang songs, read a story, answered questions and took pictures. Made it extra special for our son with special needs. He had a great sense of humor. Would definitely hire him again.

What to expect
I’m Arizona’s #1, Primer Family/Children’s Entertainer of 35 years, performing Magic, Face Painting, MC, and Balloon Art. I can come as a Clowns, Pirates, Wizard, just an entertainer with no Makeup, Elf’s, Leprechauns, Easter Bunny, Santa Claus, and yes, I know Mrs. Claus as well (I don’t play her). Licensed, bonded, Insured, and fingerprinted (I work with schools, daycare centers, churches, banks, corporations, and library’s). I have performed more parties than I can count and have worked with most of the major corporations and city governments in the Valley. If you book a party with us, you’re getting the best of the best, and my reviews on Google will validate that. Once you book us, we will send an invoice via e-mail to confirm the party, then we will call you the day before the party, and on the day of the party the performer will call you 5 to 10 min before they arrive so you can prepare everyone for the magical moment.

About
A little about BoBo the Magic Clown/Santa My name is Todd Smeltzer, I’m a professional children’s performer of 34 years a father of a 27-year-old son, and a 25-year-old girl and have lived in Arizona for over 30 years performing countless shows, I starting performing when I was 8 years old and attended the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York City when I was 24. BoBo performs many different characters and designs personal characters/mascots for company’s and corporations, some of these are: BoBo the Magic Clown, Stinky Pete the Pirate, Fumble Dum the Wizard, the Easter Bunny, Leprechaun, Santa Claus, Twinkle the Elf, and I know Mrs. Claus, I don’t play her. My Clowning style was taught to me by some of the leading children entertainers of our time and is very simple to follow, and I embrace today with all my heart.
1) Stay in the moment with children and give them your attention.
2) Never talk at or down to a child but with.
3) Always be professional and in control of your surroundings.
4) You are there to help make this, someone’s special day.
5) Always safe guard the children.
6) Mostly breathe and have fun.
7) Always be childlike but never childish.
