TP Mulrooney Bio
T.P. began his standup comedy career in D.C. and New York while still a journalism student at the University of Maryland. It didn't take long before Showtime, HBO, the major networks, Comedy Central and The Golf Channel showcased his talents. The Chicago Sun-Times called him "the best observational comedian in the business".
He's written, produced and performed for Fox & PBS television. His name is inscribed on the "Wall of Fame" at the legendary Comedy Store in Hollywood and as the Golf Comic he's entertained at The Masters, Ryder Cup, PGA Championship & US Open.
TP was the Keynote Speaker / Entertainer for Yale University in May and has performed for more than 400 Fortune 500 companies across the country.
TP will need your sound & staging - he doesn't bring anything - he's a pretty traditional stand-up and works from one spot on the stage - doesn't walk around the audience - so what ever you think will suit your room and audience size will be good.
He needs a handheld mic (cordless or long enough cord to move around the stage area.)
A backless bar stool (if you have one otherwise one with a back will be fine).
Sufficient lighting for everyone to see him.
If you are using just existing ceiling lights - perhaps you can dim some over the audience and keep them high over TP.
Anything to create a nightclub atmosphere. Comedy works best when the audience is close to the stage (a more intimate feel) no dance floor in between if possible.
