Tone Deff is a five-piece funk fusion band bringing together old-school funk, modern grooves, jazz, rock, and everything in between. Based in Wilmington, North Carolina, Tone Deff is all about creating a live experience that gets people moving, singing, and having a good time!

Tone Deff is a five-piece live funk fusion band. We can provide our own basic PA system and microphones for smaller events, depending on venue size and event requirements. For larger venues, festivals, and outdoor events, we may require a professional sound system and sound engineer.

We typically require adequate performance space for five musicians, access to standard electrical outlets, and reasonable load-in and setup time before the scheduled performance.

Our exact technical and stage requirements can vary depending on the size and location of the event. We are happy to coordinate with the venue, event planner, or production team in advance to make sure everything is prepared for a smooth performance.
