Overview

Bringing the versatile sound of the clarinet and saxophone to your concert, party, wedding, kickback, music festival, or personal event!

I play clarinet and saxophones of all varieties. I can play solo repertoire, or with a variety of ensembles (classical chamber groups, pit orchestras, jazz combos, rock bands, etc.). See my If an ensemble or piano accompaniment is requested, I can organize and assemble the necessary musicians. I am also an active pedagog and can teach students on any instrument from one of these groups, in addition to beginner piano.

What to expect

I strive to provide to the best experience leading up to, during, and after any performance. Before and after a gig, organizers will enjoy excellent communication, flexibility, and confidence in my preparation for the performance. During a performance, I will perform exactly as previously discussed and do my best to adjust if any changes need to be made on the day (setlist/song changes, location changes, etc). In most cases, I can bring most, if not all, of the equipment required for my performance (stands, chairs, etc.)

About

Hi there! I'm Tommy W. Walsh. I'm a musician based in Appleton, WI and Chicago, IL. I play clarinet and saxophone primarily and have extensive experience with both instrument groups. I am currently studying Music Performance at Lawrence University under Dr. Andy Hudson. I love making music and sharing it with all who will listen. I am very experienced in playing in pit orchestras, wind ensembles, jazz bands, and chamber groups. I also have experience playing in many genres, including classical, jazz, rock, and lo-fi, among others. I would love to work with you -- please don't hesitate to reach out.

Additional booking notes

I cannot perform outdoors if it is raining due to the nature of my instruments. Pop-up tents or alternate (indoor) locations are preferred solutions in the event of rain.
