Timi FUNK is a songstress from Akron, Ohio who blends old school funk and classic rock with neo soul for a sound that is seductive and refreshing. Growing up listening to Michael Jackson, Madonna, and the various funk bands played at her parents house parties, she fell in love with glamour and performance. As a teenager she became influenced by grunge, neo soul, and hip hop with favorites including Beck, Blind Melon, No Doubt, Erykah Badu, Lil’ Kim and Mary J. Blige. Timi likes to bring people together by providing an inclusive musical variations to her audiences. Her musical icons are Chaka Khan, Tamia, Prince and George Clinton.
