June 9, 2026Great duo! Exactly what I was looking for.
Mick and Rick communicated prior to the event, they had a great selection of songs and even learned my parents wedding song so they could sing it at their anniversary party. They did a great job with all the songs and everyone had a wonderful time!

What to expect
A high energy live performance from Mick and Rick provides numerous Rock, British Rock, Blues, Classic Rock and Soul songs. Each set is filled with one song after another and usually as many as 15-18 songs in a one hour set. For a 3 hour gig, they play about 45 songs. The songs are arranged with an updated style to make them unique while maintaining the original classic sound that people love and are familiar with. Everyone feels like singing along to these great classic songs.
Mick and Rick also try to choose songs that you don't hear that often being played live. They even play some of the girl group songs of the 60s, giving them a fresh new sound. Filled with rich vocal harmonies and some great guitar work, the songs are powerful and will make you want to dance. There is so much music coming from these two accomplished artists, that it is hard to believe that it comes from only two performers.
Mick and Rick combine a pre-recorded track for each song with each instrument being played by Rick and all the background vocals by the two of them. There is no Karaoke here. Each song takes about 4 hours to arrange and record and then it is specially recorded to have a live sound. With up to 15 separate tracks to achieve this, when played together with the live vocals and instruments, it truly does sound like a full live band is performing.
You can hire Mick and Rick for just about any type of venue. Outdoor concerts, festivals, fund raisers, all types of parties including retirement, birthday, sports and so much more. Great for wedding receptions where the theme is related to 60s and 70s music. If your event is a High School reunion from the 60s and 70s, they would be the ideal entertainment for the event. From car shows to food venues and corporate events of all kinds, the timeless music they perform is perfect.
With great music, and a lot of it, a Mick and Rick, Rock and Soul Show, is guaranteed to give everyone a great time.
About
From the classic sounds of the 60s and 70s and 80s, comes the Classic Rock, Soul and Blues music of Mick and Rick and The Mick and Rick Band. Mick Pera and Rick Maselli have been friends since grade school. Each one of them has performed with several bands from 1963 to Present. Most notable among these bands was The Chambermen. Rick was a founding member and lead guitar player in The Chambermen. The band was very popular and played numerous venues in greater Akron area.
After more than 50 years of knowing each other, Mick and Rick finally decided to put together a singing duo, playing many of the classic song styles including, Classic Rock, Soul, Motown, British Rock Blues and more. The songs are rich in vocals with a very dynamic and fresh sound. Rick is an accomplished guitarist, keyboardist and vocalist who takes considerable time putting together the song tracks and background vocals for the duo. So everything you hear comes from them.
Mick and Rick the Duo consists of Mick Pera, Lead Vocals and Percussion and Rick Maselli, Guitar, Keyboard, Harmonica and Vocals.
In 2018, Mick and Rick decided to add a full band option called The Mick and Rick Band. The band has been a big hit, playing concerts, clubs, weddings and all types of indoor and outdoor venues.
The Mick and Rick Band includes Mick Pera: Lead Vocals and Percussion, Rick Maselli: Guitar, Keyboard, Harmonica and vocals, Paul Labin: Drums and vocals and Rich Frank: Bass and vocals.
Mick, the lead vocalist, has a very soulful and strong voice that complements all the songs they do. Rick provides the instruments that fills out the sound. Paul, who is Rick's cousin, is a precision drummer who impresses everyone that sees him play. He is truly one of the best drummers around. Rich brings the bottom to the band with great bass lines that blend together perfectly with the other instruments. With songs that everyone knows and loves, and with some very interesting and powerful musical and vocal arrangements, the music comes to life and everyone can't stop from dancing and singing along.
Mick Pera is a lifetime resident of the Akron area, currently living in Fairlawn with his wife Janet. Rick Maselli a lifetime resident of the Akron area, currently living in Fairlawn with his wife Kelle. Paul is a lifetime resident of Akron currently living with his wife Dot and Rich is from Cuyahoga Falls, where he lives with his wife Leslie.
