I booked Tia for my mom’s 60th birthday celebration, and she was amazing from start to finish. Extremely professional and a joy to have—she truly elevated the entire experience. Tia even learned a couple of my mom’s favorite songs on short notice, and they sounded incredible. I would recommend her to anyone. If I have another party, I know exactly who I’m calling. 1,000/10!

About
Tia Wood is a classical/jazz event musician and professional piano instructor. She holds a B.M. in Music/Business with a piano concentration. Tia has played wedding, graduation, and dinner party events for 6+ years and taught piano lessons for the past 14 years. In December 2020, she released a holiday EP of her own arrangements on Spotify - "Crescendo to Christmas".
Tia has extensive arts marketing & management experience; she has worked George Mason University's Center for the Arts, served as the Vice President and Treasurer of her undergrad Chamber & Symphonic Orchestra, and interned at the Alexandria Symphony Orchestra. Additionally, she served as a Music Department Staff Assistant, planning recitals and collaborating with faculty to improve the music department. Tia continues to challenge herself with learning advanced repertoire and seeks to raise awareness of the benefits of classical music as a whole.
In addition to frequently playing solo, Tia enjoys playing keyboard with other musicians as well. She has played in coffeehouses, collaborated with vocalists and instrumentalists, and played keyboard in a church band as well as directed teen band collaboration.
