December 15, 2024My company had our Holiday party this weekend, and we chose Thunderhill Jazz Band to provide background jazz and Christmas music for our event, and they were the perfect choice! They immediately gauged the mood and volume level of the room and performed with the perfect tempo, volume, and style for our party. They provided entertaining jazz with wonderful improvisations while not dominating the space, and I got complements all night from our guests that they were the perfect accompaniment to the party. As the party planner, I had the opportunity to work with Steve, and he was excellent. He was friendly, communicated very well, was organized and prepared, and engaged me frequently to ensure that we were enjoying the band. I couldn't recommend them enough, and they are going to be my first call the next time we have a party.

October 7, 2022La Cour Bistro and Jazz Club hired Thunderhill Jazz Band over a period of approximately 4 years for one Saturday a month. The band and ALL the musicians understood the vibe we wanted to create and wholeheartedly helped make those Saturday evenings not only enjoyable for all but profitable as well. They are delightful to work with playing contrasting musical selections and a nice mix of vocals and instrumentals. They brought a lot of added value to every diner's evening.

We offer a wide variety of songs within our genre.
We keep our volume to what is desired by you at your venue.
We have been together for 7+ years. We have had club gigs drawing full houses and have played for private parties, golf club events, charitable fundraisers, summer fairs, etc.
We have a wide repertoire of jazz (standards, swing and smooth), pop and country songs. Our lead singer, Donna Oliver, is excellent. Our horn player and musical director is a life-long music professional, having had a career in the Air Force and retiring as the Chief Master Sargeant of the Air Force Band in the Pacific (reporting to the Secretary of the Air Force!). Our rhythm section musicians have all played for a very long time with a variety of groups, some of which were well known acts.
We offer configurations from instrumental trio to sextet which would include vocalist, guitar, keyboards, bass, drums and sax/flute/clarinet.
