What to expect
I provide elegant and versatile guitar music to enhance any event—whether you’re looking for the timeless beauty of classical repertoire, the vibrant sounds of Spanish and Latin American music, or fingerstyle arrangements of popular songs. My performances create the perfect atmosphere for weddings, corporate events, private parties, and more.
If you have a special song in mind, I can prepare a custom arrangement to make your event truly personal (available for an additional fee).
For events of up to 100–150 guests, I bring my own professional amplification, ensuring the music carries beautifully without being intrusive. All I require is a chair and a power source—everything else is taken care of.
About
Thomas Creek is a classical guitarist based in Minneapolis, MN, offering both in-person and virtual guitar lessons. While his academic training is rooted in classical guitar, his teaching spans a variety of styles including rock, jazz, acoustic fingerstyle, and singing with guitar.
Originally from Columbia, South Carolina, Thomas discovered his passion for classical guitar through his public high school’s music program. He earned his undergraduate degree at the University of South Carolina under Christopher Berg, then completed his Master of Music at the University of Missouri with Anthony Glise. In 2020, he earned his Doctor of Musical Arts degree at Shenandoah University, studying with acclaimed educator Julian Gray. His doctoral research focused on American guitar music from the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
Thomas has taught students of all ages and skill levels. He has served as a private and Suzuki instructor at Peabody Preparatory in Baltimore, MD, and worked as the clinical guitar instructor in Shenandoah Conservatory’s music therapy department from 2021 to 2025. Now based in Minneapolis, he offers private lessons through Kramer’s School of Music and continues to teach online.
