October 20, 2026The guests loved them. The sound was perfect; not too loud in the small event space. Would hire them again.

September 14, 2026We hired their jazz duo for a company event and found them to be a solid, budget-friendly choice. A sudden rainstorm pushed back setup slightly, but they handled the quick start smoothly. While their initial set was a bit relaxed, they were very receptive to our feedback and stepped up the tempo for an energetic final set that had guests dancing. They stuck closely to their scheduled times, so just be sure to align on your event timeline beforehand. Overall, a reliable and affordable option for live background music.

Instrumentation depends on musicians' availability with the core being trumpet, saxophone, and myself on the upright bass. The type of musicians for an event is any combination of Trombone, Trumpet, Saxophone, Vocalist, Piano, Guitar, Drums, and Double Bass. The larger ensembles are more for, but not limited to, weddings and house parties to be able to preform songs that need specific instrumentation for song request. We most likely play 1940's/1950's Jazz for catered dinners or events in of background music which does not require a PA system which keeps the group at a moderate volume as guest are having conversations. Message us about certain instrumentation you would enjoy best to make your event more memorable.
My name is Alex Frazzetto, recent graduated of Cincinnati Conservatory of Music (CCM) with my masters degree in Jazz Studies. I have been the leader and bass player of TheGroovin'Foxes for over seven years. Our group's size is tailored to the event and client's needs. All musicians are local with their professional focus in jazz performance through CCM. What would it take for us to do business and create a memorable experience?
We typically don't use a PA unless we are playing in front of a large audience or the music we are providing is the center of attention at an event.
