Overview

Great music and comedy! Wayne plays guitar and banjo and has a unique ability to make up whole songs on the spot. He comedy is clean and is appropriate for ages 1 to 100. (So far he's not sure about those pesky folks who are more than 100...) After performing during the ski season in Colorado for over 25 years, for people from all over the US and the world, there's virtually no one he doesn't have something to say about! He's a unique, fun, and extremely talented guy.

Professional, Hilarious, and So Much Fun!

We hired Wayne for a company event, and he absolutely exceeded expectations! I had seen a few clips beforehand and thought he would be good, but he delivered even more than I expected. He was hilarious, engaging, and had the whole crowd laughing the entire time. His crowd work was especially impressive and made the event feel personal and interactive, and the music added such a fun element to the experience.

After a couple of long days, this was exactly what our group needed! A chance to relax, laugh, and enjoy ourselves. He kept everything professional while still being incredibly funny, which was perfect for our corporate setting. I would highly recommend him for any event and would definitely consider hiring him again in the future!

Creative

Wayne is creative with his music and making up songs.
Some of the jokes, "what do you call a..." went over our heads.
But overall everyone had a good laugh.

What to expect

Wayne does a clean, fun show, with lots of interaction and spontaneity. If you use him for one of your events, he will contact you ahead of time to get information about your group. He always comes up with really fun, appropriate, and humorous songs for each event. During the event, look for him to get members of your group involved in the show, either to sing, do choreography, or who knows what else. He has a way to make everyone feel at ease.

As a special treat, he usually gets bald guys up from the audience to do his famous song, "Bald Guys Are Cool." Even CEO's have been known to do this song with Wayne, thus providing your group with longtime memories of the evening.

About

Wayne Faust is the guy that can take a roomful of people from all over
and make them friends by the end of the evening, causing folks to say,

"THAT WAS OUR BEST PARTY EVER!"

He can make your stomach muscles hurt from laughing one minute and have you wistfully remembering your childhood dreams the next minute.

He does the kind of show that can make brain surgeons loud and Harley riders quiet.

Wayne has over 35 years of experience entertaining people from all over the world, from ages five to one-hundred-and-five, performing regularly at such prestigious spots as
Sloppy Joe's in Key West
Beaver Run in Breckenridge, Colorado
The Beer Barrel Saloon in Put-In-Bay, Ohio
and at clubs in England, Scotland, and Holland

His original songs are heard on the radio in places as far away as Australia .
His live show can turn any evening into a party - a night full of great music and comedy.

And improvisation.
Wayne has a unique talent for making up songs on the spot.

But most of all, Wayne's shows are fun.
Lots of fun.
He plays guitar and banjo and tells jokes. Lots of jokes.
He gets people from the audience up on stage to do songs with him.
Songs like 'Bald Guys Are Cool'

Sometimes you might catch Wayne doing a few of his award-winning serious songs. Touching songs, well-written and performed flawlessly.
Songs about his wife of 36 years, or maybe about his 3 kids. And yes, even about his grandkids.

Most nights you can catch Wayne doing songs like 'Dueling Banjos' with the help of Sven, a two-foot Viking made out of wood. How does he do that? It's a mystery.

But be warned.

When you leave Wayne's show, you'll find that you can't wipe that goofy grin off your face. And you're going to want to do it all again, just like thousands of others.

Additional booking notes

Wayne brings his own sound and lighting, so all he needs from you is a good place to set up where everyone can be close to him and where he can be seen by the entire audience. He will work with the venue on this, and has long experience of doing shows in every possible type of hall, restaurant, ship, etc.

Set list

I do not use a set list because my show is very spontaneous. I can't remember how many times I've made notes of the songs I plan to do for a certain event, and then halfway through my first song I've already changed it. That's what makes my show unique - the ability to go in a different direction at the drop of a hat, making up whole songs on the spot about something happening in the room.

But I usually manage to do Dueling Banjos, Bald Guys Are Cool, and several singalongs in the course of each show because they are always audience favorites.

Influences and inspiration

I grew up listening to goofy songs like "Hello Muddah, Hello Faddah" and "Purple People Eater." I also loved to listen to the Dr. Demento Show, and was thrilled when he started playing my songs. I had several of them on his Funny Five.

Musically, my influences are rock, folk, and bluegrass banjo.

Setup requirements

Wayne brings all of his own equipment. If he has to fly to the show, he will arrange to rent whatever he needs, and that expense will be included in his fee.
