The Vinyl Goods can bring a unique and original musical experience to your event.
We perform original indie rock music from our catalog of 5 albums. While our music has a solid following on internet radio, our songs will likely be new to your audience. Our sound is created with electric and acoustic guitars, bass, drums, and vocal harmonies.
In addition to performing songs, our stage show can include songwriter insights and stories about the songs depending on your audience (a great option for a private house concert!). We also offer acoustic-based shows for a lighter sound.
From the Chicago, Illinois area, The Vinyl Goods have been writing, recording, and releasing independent music for over 20 years. Influenced by artists like REM, The Beatles, and other classic rock, their music is a blend of indie pop rock. The band prides themselves on writing engaging songs with an emphasis on lyrics and textures.
After releasing 4 albums of indie pop rock, their latest album, "The Light of Day" marked a departure from their prior material. With "The Light of Day", the band set out to create an "album with a purpose" by writing new songs inspired by Christian values and bible stories.
We can provide our own PA for small clubs, locations, or homes. We do not have our own lighting (if that is necessary).
Our set list consists of music from our catalog of over 100 original songs.
Our music and performance style is influenced by classic rock bands of the past 30 year (e.g. REM, Beatles, Springsteen), modern indie rock artists (e.g. Kings of Leon, Weezer, Deathcab for Cutie), and contemporary Christian rock artists (e.g. Matthew West, Casting Crowns, Third Day).
