January 16, 2019I've seen this band several times around Ottawa's Music Scene. They get the whole place dancing and singing. They can pack the house with their Retro Style. There isn't a song you won't recognize. From Billy Idol to INXS, Duran Duran, Ramones, U2 and Human League...."Don't You Want Me". They will not disappoint. If you like to have fun then put your dancing shoes on because you won't want to sit down. They'll "Spin you Right Round Baby Right Round". Great Band! Lots of Fun! Professional! Just all around a "Great Bunch of Guys!

The Underground is Ottawa's premier 80s New Wave Tribute act, focusing on new wave dance music of the 1980s. Our focus is to build a set list to bring people back to the 80s and fill the dance floor with favorite songs of the era. We have fun on stage both performing and interacting with our audiences. We have been known to invite audience members on stage to sing along with us as well as get the whole venue singing along. A successful night for us is a night where everyone leaves with a smile on their face, having danced the night away.
The Underground is made up of four professional musicians who have performed all across Ottawa, Montreal, Kingston, Toronto, the East Coast, and Europe, from small clubs to major festivals. The Underground consists of Rachelle Behrens on lead vocals, Jason McDonald on lead vocals and rhythm guitar, Jim Clarke on lead guitar and vocals, Stephane Boucher on drums and lead vocals, and Pat Cooney on bass and vocals.
For larger rooms, bars, and organized functions, PA and stage lighting systems are generally handled by the owner or organizer and a full stage plot is available upon request.
For smaller functions, however, there may be a need for us to provide our own sound and lights. The Underground does have a full PA so please get in touch so we can discuss your requirements.
