My name is Jack Mabie, I'm a Pasadena native with an extensive repetoire of high-quality old-school/new-school fusion hip-hop with heavy influences ranging from De La Soul to Snoop Dogg to Outkast to Brother Ali. An event planner can expect prompt arrival, a courteous demeanor and an entertained audience.

I make a range of deeply personal, distinctly political, thought-provoking music with a decent selection of more club-friendly bangers in tow as well. Also, with the help of a few collaborators, I have a number of soulful, jazzy tunes that walk a fine line between love ballads and lyrical hip hop anthems. Currently in-process of recording my first full-length album, "Food For Thought", which has people from 626 to 406 buzzing with excitement. My last release, a mixtape titled "Tis The Season", gathered around 180,000 plays on SoundCloud after its release.

I have, at the time of this writing, performed somewhere in the range of 20-25 shows at venues ranging from restaurants, bars, ski lodges, banquet halls, birthday parties, fraternities and auditoriums. I was hailed by fellow students at Montana State University, while still in attendance, as being the best rapper in Montana during 2013, before my move back to LA.
