May 29, 2024We hired the 10 O’Clock Lunch Band to play at a dinner & auction fundraiser. They were so much fun! Not only are they talented musicians, but they charmed people into the dance floor who don’t normally dance! If you’re looking for quality musicians who are also genuinely good people, then I highly recommend hiring these guys!

May 29, 2024The Ten O'Clock Lunch Band has been playing for Friday night dances at Mid County Senior Center for many years now. They are always a crowd pleaser, interacting with the audience, personalizing songs and giving 110% every time they play. All the musicians are great to work with and keep people on the floor and dancing all night. I have them booked once a month all of 2024 and would recommend this band to anyone looking to have a great music & dance experience. They won't disappoint.

The name Ten O'Clock Lunch came out of George's lunch hour guitar strumming in the parking lot of the supermarket where he worked. He began work at 5:30am and lunch for him was at 10! People would want to join in, so it became the lunch band! In 2012, George retired from the grocery biz, and focused on his love for entertaining! The group evolved to playing at cafes, and then in bars! Now, The Ten O'Clock Lunch Band has been entertaining folks in the local Santa Cruz area for the past 12 years! When not working at the grocery job, George was also a local wedding photographer, on the weekends. He has helped facilitate many events, so he really knows the needs that are required for special celebrations. All of the musicians in the band have had many years of playing out professionally, so you will be getting a reliable and skilled group.
We own a sound system and we set it up an hour, or more, prior to the event, and we break it down after, always leaving the space clean and tidy.

We enjoy performing the musical "gems" of the Motown era, as well as Rock and Soul tunes of the 60's and 70's. We do some swinging Blues tunes, as well, and a Michael Jackson tune from the 80's, plus a Jon Mero tune from 2023. We mostly play "Old School" music, but we also look for more current music that may fit us.
