The Silver Belles are very versatile and portable. Below are some examples of how they could serve your needs.

Performance Formats

Performances can be done through a P. A. or acoustically, depending on the site and the nature of the event. Indoor and outdoor performance options are available. Attire for indoor performances is black velvet floor length outfits with silver accents. Outdoor attire is Santa hats, black or red coats, red scarves and gloves and festive corsages.

Public

Where people are gathering or passing through (markets, malls, festive events), acoustic a cappella performances can be done in one location or at several locations throughout the venue.

Private

The trio can be hired as a cappella singers to be in the background as guests are arriving (inside or outside the venue) and/or inside while guests are enjoying pre-dinner cocktails. An elegant and fun alternative to recorded music. A perfect way to get your party started.

The trio can do a feature performance as a dinner set, in addition to the above, or they can be hired just for the dinner show.

The Silver Belles can also include instrumentation (as heard on the annual CBC Food Bank Drive and on some of the songs on their CD, ‘Tis the Season), with Jennifer Scott on keyboard and renowned jazz bass player Rene Worst on stand up bass. Note: In this case, a P. A. would be required.

The Silver Belles is a contemporary a cappella Christmas carolling trio drawn from a collective of some of Vancouver’s best singers. Primary members are Jennifer Scott, Marianne Grittani and Linda Kidder. Joani Bye, Karin Plato, Beverley Elliott, Melody Daichun, Coco Love Alcorn, Nancy Newman, Lynnette Salton, Mo Field and Sharon McNulty have all been part of the trio throughout the Silver Belles’ history which began in 1990.

All of these talented women have extensive and varied backgrounds in the field of entertainment, winning awards both locally and internationally. Since they began, the trio has been brightening up the holiday season with their engaging three-part harmony arrangements of traditional holiday favourites.
