June 10, 2018Everyone needs to know how amazing Nymphia the mermaid is amazing! She is so welcoming to the children. She immediately gets them involved with her story’s and singing. She goes out of her way to make sure children and adults are enjoying every part of her show. My kids loved the treasure she brought for them. She brought story time, singing, and mer facts to life at the party. The children all took pictures with her and enjoyed her very much. I highly suggest Nymphia for parties. She truly made my daughters day even more special. I will definitely be using her again.

December 5, 2017We booked Nymphia for my (mermaid obsessed) daughter's 5th after seeing her first at the festival of sail this year. I had been impressed then with how she always stayed in character even while I was asking about her availability and services.
For our event she was very communicative beforehand, letting me know what to expect. She worked with us to do a stealth entry and exit so that the kids would not see her out of costume. She looked very convincing, and one of the 5 year olds who had been told by friends that mermaids weren't real turned to her mom upon seeing her and said "See, I told you mermaids were real!".
My daughter was entranced by her. Nypmphia sat with her telling her stories and answering all of her questions. She did a lovely story time, sang some songs, and deftly fielded all kinds of questions (you have to think fast on your feet, er fins, when a kiddo asks you if you have a cell phone!).
All in all it was a wonderful experience, and I would highly recommend Nymphia for your next birthday party!

Watch and be entranced by the sight of a real live mermaid swimming in your pool or water feature!
From aquatic games and activities to fun sing-alongs, glitter tattoos and mer-mazing glitter makeovers, to ocean conservation & story time shows designed to teach children about the wonders of our oceanic world. We are sure to make a splash and create something magical to inspire your little guppy's imagination!
Our mermaid can also perform on land as well as in the water! Inquire about our beachy clam-shell set up for land events, or her dancing mermaid on land skirt when traveling on land.

Nymphia: The Nautilus Mermaid is a professional mermaid performer based in the beautifully temperate waters of Long Beach who travels across the California coast to bring magic to both the young and the young at heart.
Born and raised in the beautiful San Diego county, Nymphia started her journey as a performer in 2016 after performing at the Escondido Renaissance Festival alongside a local mermaid pod and since then, has truly made a name for herself in the performing industry as both a mermaid, a voice for trans merfolk, and a storyteller specializing in a true sense of immersive lore and story crafting.
With a heavy background in aquatics, (scuba diving, as well as an American Red Cross lifeguard instructor certification under her belt), and a passion for costume design and performance art, Nymphia serves to show those she meets that anyone has the power to chase after their wildest dreams.
Characters will usually arrive between 30 to 45 minutes early before scheduled time of arrival. Most of the activities that are princess characters can accomplish should ideally be performed in a rather large space for little ones to run, jump and play!
We can also perform in outdoor spaces as well. We bring most of the equipment along with us, things like storybooks, craft supplies, glitter, etc so you can go into your event expecting a nice, smooth performance throughout.
In cases of large parties (usually 20 children or more) our royal friends will usually bring along a royal assistant to help organize activities!

🪸🧜🏽♀️ FOR MERMAID APPEARANCES
Our seafaring mermaids will often arrive about 30-45 minutes early to allow for a *surprise* reveal. Be sure to have a changing space available for the mermaid to use that is out of view of any little ones or guests.
Mermaids will always arrive with a handler who is lifeguard or first aid certified for anything. This is *mandatory* to help assist the mermaid as she isn’t mobile on land or to help with any aquatic related emergencies.
If you are planning a swimming event, please be sure to pre-heat your water feature or pool before the mermaid starts swimming. (80-85 is usually the most comfortable starting point)
Most services for swimming events will usually be done poolside or within easy access to the water.
