The Runout

Our audiences experience a tight show with a laid-back attitude. We have a flow to both our DUO and Full Band shows that keeps the energy going and list of songs that will keep the audience from going ear blind. We keep our talking to a minimum and focus on the music. Musical transitions between songs keep the sound moving and tuning breaks are necessary, but minimized.

We are professional but like to dress casual. We have dependable gear and like to start and finish shows on time. We take reasonable breaks during gigs lasting longer than 1.5hrs. We always appreciate food and drink hospitality.

If needed, we can provide PA equipment both for our DUO and FULL BAND shows. This is figured into the final fee that we decide upon.

We rarely have to cancel a show, and do so only under illness or "act-of-god".

The Runout is both a DUO and Full Band project from Columbia SC centered around the songwriting, acoustic guitar, and lead vocals of Jeff Gregory. Kelley Gregory joins up for our crafted DUO performances and adds tight harmonies and a smooth and sweet vocal sound. The Full Band brings electric guitar, bass, and drums to the sound, and creates an altogether different and equally magical experience.

With 3 full albums, 3 singles, and 8 years of performing as a Duo and Full Band, the Runout has built a discography and a following that appreciates it in the Columbia, SC region. Songs lyrics drip with South Carolina and Southwestern imagery and ask hard questions.

Hire us as a DUO for your small or large events when you need a great sound that focuses on tight harmonies and dynamic acoustic guitar work. The Duo incorporates Cover Songs from singer songwriter greats of the 60s and 70s like Simon and Garfunkel, Jim Croce, etc. as well as plays songs from The Runout discography.
Hire us as a Full Band for larger events when you need a big and vibrant sound experience that sits right in the heart of the Americana genre. The full band focuses on original music with the occasional cover.

The current lineup, formed in 2019, is Jeff Gregory (vocals/guitar), Kelley Gregory (vocals), Moses Andrews III (bass, bgvs), Chris Compton (electric guitar, bgvs), and Mike Scarboro (drums, bgvs).
