Rob and the Renegades are serious musicians bring who bring the fun. Their wide range of music will have you remembering some nostalgic classics, tapping your toes and scootin your boots. They will take your event seriously and will be completely professional, on time, and ready to perform. The band has a lot of experience with weddings, private parties and charity fundraisers, and can provide MC services, if needed.
The Renegades are:
Rob Kahn - Bringing the heart and soul to the band. Rob spent over 40 years playing acoustic covers to happy hours all over Texas. Acoustic guitar, harmonica, lead vocals, backing vocals.
Brad Rowe - Provides the rock and keeps the band firmly planted in the real country and western. Electric guitar, backing vocals, lead vocals.
Dave Curran - Keepin your toes tappin and your boots scootin. Bass, backing vocals, lead vocals.
Ronn Dixon - For several decades Ronn was a touring professional. He keeps the band tight both musically and as friends. Drums.
The Renegades formed at the start of the shutdown. Rob owned a wedding venue where he provided the band for his clientele. When several of his players got sick, he scrambled to find replacements. Brad, Ronn, and Dave stepped in to cover a few upcoming scheduled weddings and they never left. The Renegades stayed busy all throughout the shutdown, it seemed not even a pandemic could stop people from getting married.
The band is self-sufficient, only needing power and a place to perform. We will bring our own PA system, instruments, amps, and lighting. We require adequate shade or covering if playing outdoors and a place to cool off in-between sets, if needed.
Our PA system can cover up to a medium size room, or approximately 200 people. A larger venue will require an additional PA either provided by the host as directed by the band or provided by the band with additional expenses. We will work with the host to determine the best course of action based on needs and budget.
Our lighting system is for illuminating the band. Any additional lights for a dance floor or event room should be provided by the host.
