December 15, 2025He is the real Santa. His heart to serve and give back brings so much love to our event every single year. There is a peace and a true spirit of Christmas when he enters the room. I don't want to ever have our event without him as our Santa. He has been one of the sweetest blessings to our mission and we are forever grateful for His involvement in Hatcher's Stocking.

Joe Merkley, aka, lives in sunny Coastal Palm Coast, Florida.
Papa and his middle school sweetheart, Marie, have been keeping the love alive for 42 years now, and their big, happy family includes five kids and two adorable grandkids.
But that’s not all! Papa’s also the mastermind behind Merkley Marketing Group, a uber cool boutique agency that does its thing for folks all over, whether they’re just around the corner or clear across the country.
When he’s not on the job, Papa’s all about the fun stuff.
He loves fishing, getting his hands dirty with building and repurposing projects, cruising old-school car shows, and traveling. (He & Marie love those small towns with the small-town charm.)
