About
Erick was born in Houston, Texas. His music melds subtle elements of Jamaican, Latin, Classical, R&B, Country, Blues, Soul, Jazz, Electronic, and Popular influences into a brew he likes to call "Rhythm & Chill".
Currently, Erick has completed an EP which is now available for purchase through most of the major digital retailers. Such as, iTunes, Amazon, Google Play, Spotify, Last FM, Rdio, CD Baby, and the list goes on. Fans can find exclusive tracks on his self titled website as well. He works creatively under his label imprint, "The Raw Flames, Records". All of the songs on the album were written, performed, produced, and mixed by him. They were mastered by Grammy winning engineer, Ernie Wells at 8th Note Productions. Who admits, "It has a really cool sound...real laid back" Ernie continues, "hence the rhythm and chill".
The six-foot-plus crooner held his first private album release party in May of 2014. According to him, "It was a huge success! Thanks to all of my family and friends. I can't thank them enough for all of their love and support. It's what keeps me going." Erick has performed locally, in the Greater Houston area at private events, as well as local restaurants, such as "Big Sarg's". The "soul-food" restaurant that hosted his first public event, along side a promising young band, Epic Melody. As well as good friend and vocalist, Bennie Ruffin, of the famous Ruffin Famiy. He's currently in the studio working on both his and Mr. Ruffin's debut LP. He's released the first single to his forthcoming album, "Heat Wave", in November 2015. The song title to the single is, "Now, If You Think". It is a sultry track, with reminiscence of yerster-year, while maintaining a current relevance. "I'm really excited about my next projects."-says, Erick. He continues, "I think it shows the growth I've made as a creative. I hope and believe people are going to love it!"
Erick is a singer, songwriter, musician, and producer. He's also looking for opportunities to work with others in need of music for their artists, website, commercials, or other marketing endeavors, as well as music licensing opportunities.
