The Proper Pub Quiz

Expect a lively, well-run trivia night that feels more like a great night out than an event. I host a proper pub quiz using pen and paper—no apps—so teams stay engaged, talking, and having fun from start to finish.

Each event runs about 90 minutes to 2 hours and includes a mix of general knowledge, music clips, and visual rounds. The questions are designed to hit a wide audience, with just enough challenge to keep it competitive without leaving people behind.
For clients, I bring a fully hosted experience: structured rounds, clear pacing, and a professional setup that works seamlessly in your space. I’m comfortable on the mic, quick with a joke, and able to read the room to keep energy high.

Whether it’s a weekly bar night, corporate event, or fundraiser, the goal is the same—create a packed room, keep people engaged, and give them a reason to come back.

I’m a UK-born host now based in Winnipeg, bringing a proper pub quiz experience to bars, events, and private parties across the city. My background in radio shaped the way I run trivia nights—fast-paced, engaging, and built around reading a room.

What I offer is simple: no apps, no distractions, just great questions, good music, and a night people actually talk about after. My quizzes are designed for all ages and experience levels, with a mix of general knowledge, music, and visual rounds that keep everyone involved.

Whether it’s a packed bar, a corporate event, or a fundraiser, I focus on creating a fun, welcoming atmosphere that keeps people coming back.

Sound:
Access to a PA system or speakers is preferred. I host using a wireless microphone so I can move through the room, interact with teams, and keep the energy up. I can provide my own mic if needed or use your in-house system.

Visuals:
A TV or projector is ideal for displaying questions, picture rounds, and scores. If your venue has screens, I can plug in directly via HDMI.

Space:
No stage required. I can host from a small table or DJ booth area with access to power.

Timing:
Typical events run 90 minutes to 2 hours, but I can adjust length and format to fit your schedule.

Setup:
Quick and simple usually 20–30 minutes to get everything ready.
If your venue has limitations, no problem I can adapt the format to suit the space and still deliver a great trivia experience.
