The Poor Historians

So if you wondering what to expect from this band. You can count on working with a professional and friendly group of people who really want to provide you with a unique musical experience. With their emotionally driven songs, excellent harmonies, killer baselines, drums that do not quit, a lurking banjo, and some wild guitars all tightly packaged up into songs that cover many genres. The band strives to create musically dynamic sounds coupled with excellent song quality.

The Poor Historians are a five member rock, country, psychedelic, blues band. They all grew up in different places across the country and somehow all landed in the East county area of Portland OR. Oddly, they all met through their day jobs, as all the members are health care workers at local hospitals. This music project started in the fall of 2022 and is going strong. They play almost exclusively all original songs that have been carefully crafted over many years.
