What to expect

Send Us Your Playlist. Seriously.

Here's how we make sure every song that matters to you gets heard. Start with our song list and flag your favorites and your do-not-plays; that shapes the live set. If there's one song with real meaning behind it, a first dance, a family song, talk to us, we can often learn something special for your night. And everything else you love? Send your Spotify or Apple Music playlist and we'll play it during the band's breaks, your songs, your versions, so the music never stops and never leaves your taste.

Then we add the part no playlist can do: we watch the room. When the floor is packed, we keep it packed. When the energy shifts, we shift with it. Your playlist sets the direction. We are momentum experts.

About

Our Story

The Pictures Band started over two decades ago on Austin's famous 6th Street, and we've been one of Texas's most in-demand live bands ever since. Along the way we became the Miller Lite band, appeared in the Coors Light Texas TV commercials, performed in the film Dream Date and on its soundtrack, and played for U.S. troops around the world. We've earned 343+ five-star reviews and a place in The Knot Wedding Hall of Fame.

Today we bring that same energy to weddings, corporate events, private parties, galas, and club dates across Texas, performing the best danceable hits from every decade with powerful male and female lead vocals.

No Clones. No Substitutes. Ever.

Many event bands operate with rotating or interchangeable players, and some agencies send whoever is available under a familiar name. The Pictures Band is built on consistency. Our musicians perform together regularly, which means tighter performances, smoother transitions, and stronger crowd connection. The band you see in our videos is the band that shows up at your event.

Flexible Band Sizes

We scale to fit your event and budget, from a tight 4-piece for clubs and private parties to a 5- or 7-piece with horns for weddings, galas, and corporate events. Every booking includes our own professional sound and lighting, emcee support, and music during the band's breaks. We read the room and adjust in real time rather than running a rigid setlist, and we welcome special requests, first dances, and do-not-play lists.

Weddings, Corporate, and Private Events

Every event type gets its own approach. Weddings get seamless flow, timeline awareness, and energy management around your special moments. Corporate events get high energy with brand-safe professionalism and volume control. Private parties and club dates get whatever vibe the room calls for. Planners, venues, and repeat clients trust us because we communicate clearly, load in early, and respect the schedule.

Who We've Played For

Our clients have included Mark Cuban, the Dallas Cowboys, the Texas Rangers, Roger Staubach, Michael Dell, a leading aerospace company, ExxonMobil, Chevron, and Dell, along with major charity galas for St. Jude's, the American Heart Association, JDRF, and the SPCA. We've performed everywhere from backyard weddings to statewide corporate events, and every client gets the same band and the same standard.

The Events We Can't Talk About

Over two decades, our client list has ranged from Fortune 500 companies to household names in sports, business, and entertainment, along with events for public figures at the highest levels. Many of those bookings came with a handshake understanding, and some with signed agreements, that we keep the details private. We honor that, every time. So while our reviews tell you what we're like on stage, our discretion is part of what keeps clients at that level coming back. If your event needs a band that's comfortable around cameras, security details, and NDAs, we've been that band for a long time.

.

Where We Play

Based in Central Texas and performing statewide: Austin, the Hill Country, Dallas/Fort Worth, Houston, San Antonio, College Station, and the Texas coast. We also travel for destination events.

Good to Know

We bring our own professional sound and lighting, so most venues need nothing but power. We carry liability insurance and can provide a COI when a venue requires it. Deposits hold your date, and we send a straightforward written agreement for every booking. For outdoor events we'll talk through shade, power, and weather plans up front so there are no surprises

Currently Booking

We're booking select dates this season, including near-term availability for parties, corporate events, and club dates. Send your date, location, and event type, and we'll usually respond the same day with a recommendation and a straightforward quote.

Additional booking notes

Technical Requirements

Power: 2-3 dedicated 20-amp circuits is all we need. We bring everything else.

Stage: not essential. If the venue has one, roughly 12-16 feet deep by 20-24 feet wide fits us comfortably.

Sound and lighting: we provide a full professional stereo PA and stage lighting for every booking, no rentals needed on your end. For the big moments, optional production upgrades include intelligent moving lights synced to the music. Tell us the moment you want to create and we'll build the effect around it.
