Overview

The Other Day is rapidly becoming known as a first rate band around the Birmingham area. This band plays an interesting mix of both originals and covers that blend retro-pop, bossa nova and Memphis R&B into a sound that is fresh to the ear and familiar to the heart. Featuring the vocals of Jennifer Skates, who also adds trumpet and flute to the sound, the Other Day features professional and experienced players who have an obvious chemistry. The Other Day's playlist ranges from the music of Amy Winehouse and Nora Jones to samba, bossa nova, and standards to pop gems like "I'm Your Venus" and "She's Come Undone."
This band seems to have a song for almost any occasion.
