"But do you have a full band?" was the question the guitar slinging duo, Bill Mathis and Jerry Jones kept hearing from their Middle Tennessee fans. Always willing and determined to please their audience, the music veterans took that cue, put out the call, and rounded up a like-minded rhythm section. The band, Nightwind, was born.
Deeply rooted in classic country and southern rock, Road To Nowhere is Nightwind's first multifaceted collection of original songs penned by Bill and his dad, the late Country Johnny Mathis. In addition to to the thoughtful and skilled songwriting that passed from father to son, the recording also captures the unique blending of two seasoned lead players.
Awesome band, made my party a big hit, I love the different genres they can do, really awesome!!

Our group plays the classic country music that most bands don't play anymore however we have 2 lead players who are pros and put on a show when playing live in front of an audience, we interact with the crowd and we play the crowd as to whether they're wanting to hear slow songs or fast songs etc. We do such a variety of music anything from Jimmy Rogers (1920) to Bad Company, Skynard, Segar, Alan Jackson, George Strait, Elton John so quite a few different genres. We are a very high energy band not just playing but putting on the show with it because we love doing it and we love to make people happy.
A country/southern rock/oldies etc band that was put together by all pro musicians from Murfreesboro Tn., love preforming in front of people and put on a show doing it, play anything from Hank Williams Sr. to Bad Company we normally play what the crowds into at that time. We are very good at volume control we use our own sound man with top of the line equipment. Two very skilled lead guitarist who have put a unique style together most bands don't have, they have been playing together for 10 years. On top of his killer guitar playing, Bill Mathis can also play bass guitar, saxophone & keyboards and play them well.
Our goal is to make sure during the event the client is 100% satisfied. Bill Mathis is the son of Country Johnny Mathis who wrote several hit songs for Charlie Pride back in the 60's like If you should come back, he also had a string of hits himself and Bill has followed in his footsteps writing and producing several awesome original songs. Most of my (Jerry Jones) playing experience was in Florida with a show band called TLH that played together as a group for 10 years with the same members which included Billy Dean the Nashville recording artist who played several shows with us.
The bottom line is music is in our soul and I believe I can speak for every band member with us. We can do an entire show of country or Southern Rock but we found most crowds like a mixture of it all.
Our rhythm section is made up of Michael Fredrick on drums and Joe Cox on bass guitar. Our sound engineer is Curtis Ereck of Audio Atopia
We have the best when it comes to PA equipment we run a Mackie digital system, our own light show and since we never play a show without a sound engineer, we can control our volume very easily
