Overview
The New Prairie Drifters are a classic country band based out of Edwardsville, IL. We are inspired by the classic sounds of the country greats such as Merle Haggard, Loretta Lynn, and Hank Williams. We also write and perform our own original country songs and bring a modern feel to the classic country sound. With songs ranging over a wide span of decades, the experienced performing musicians of the New Prairie Drifters bring that familiar country sound with acoustic guitar, bass guitar, fiddle, Telecaster guitar, drums, and pedal steel, as well as harmony singing. The New Prairie Drifters are the perfect band for your next party, event, or country dance!

The New Prairie Drifters are a classic country band based out of Southern Illinois. We are comprised of six experienced musicians, most of whom have studied music in college and work as professional performing and teaching musicians. We are a group of best friends, all who enjoy playing a variety of music styles, but have a common interest in classic country. In late 2023, we decided to officially form a classic country band, and the New Prairie Drifters were born! We find joy in recreating your favorite tunes that bring you back to your childhood and the nostalgia of that original country sound.
