Texas T and the Shine Runners are a TX Swing-a-billy band from San Antonio hell bent on keeping Rockabilly and Country music traditional, and they're all about making folks dance!
Tony T. who was a 90's rockabilly rebel and classic country buff, introduced the idea of a country-billy/TX swing band to drummer Rocko who was also very into traditional rockabilly music. With The Kid already familiar with playing Elvis and Hank Williams and being a very versatile guitar player, including the ability to mimic steel guitar with resonator slide, chicken pick a telecaster, and play the banjo, the idea for Texas T and the Shine Runners took off like a rocket! Tony T. became the front man on lead vocals and harmonica, Rocko on drums and also doing lead vocals on many songs, they then added locally known upright bass player "Big Dog" Brent Field and Texas T and the Shine Runners were off to the races!
We have everything needed to perform up to 4 sets of music at 45 minutes a piece.
