I will arrive at your event at least 2 hours prior to the scheduled start time (or earlier if I am setting up my own sound system and equipment).
I will meet with the party/event planner who booked me prior to the performance to review content (in case of minors) and also to review any special requests.
I will perform during the agreed upon time frame. Depending on time and availability, I will also meet/mingle prior to and/or after the show at no additional cost.
David R. Wright (The Motor City Hypnotist) has been practicing in a clinical setting for over 24 years. He is currently the owner and Clinical Director of an outpatient therapy clinic in Taylor, Michigan (Counseling and Therapy Associates). In addition to being a Certified Hypnotist, Mr. Wright also has a Bachelors degree in Psychology and a Masters Degree in Counseling from Wayne State University. He is a Licensed Professional Counselor (licensed by the state of Michigan) and a National Certified Counselor. Mr. Wright is high in demand for personal hypnosis sessions where he helps clients with everything from phobias to weight loss to smoking cessation to anxiety reduction (and many more issues).
More than just leaving audiences laughing, Mr. Wright teaches, educates and also promotes positive messages during his comedy stage shows (such as not driving and texting for teenage/college crowds or performance improvement for athletes and business professionals).
All shows are personally tailored to the event and age group of the audience. The focus is on the volunteers who become the stars of the show. Mr. Wright also does not perform his show and “disappear”, he is excited and happy to meet his audience and mingle with them prior to and after the show, often resulting in spontaneous hypnosis sessions with small groups or one on one.

If you are providing a sound system, it must be a high quality sound system. The most important part of a hypnosis show is the participants being able to clearly hear the hypnotist. The microphone must be cordless. I can bring my own microphone and sound board if you have a system I can plug into.
If I am performing a show within 200 miles of Detroit, I prefer to bring my own sound system to ensure the highest quality event.
My set list/show skits vary depending on time, age of audience and preference of the client.
One of the most well known hypnotists performing today is Richard Barker. I have performed and trained with him. You may have seen Richard on The Today Show, The Late Late Show with James Corden or on countless other local news stations. I have also performed and trained with Dr. Jim Wand. Jim by far the best and most busy high school and college hypnotist performing today. He performs over 250 shows a year. Another of my mentors is Sean Michael Andrews, "The Worlds Fastest Hypnotist".
