Performance Details:
The MDA Girls can add any of the following options to her performance: Wings of Isis, Sword (single, double or FIRE sword), veil, fan veils, candles (balancing Tray/ open flame- FIRE EATING) and of course Saidi or Dabke Assaya (cane) dance! The performance will include audience participation as well as interaction. Our goal is to ensure that everyone is up dancing and having a great time!!

You can hire the MDA Girls in any form; as a DUET, as a TRIO, or as a TEAM.

The MDA Girls are available for Weddings, Bridal Showers, Belly Blessings (baby showers), Children or Adult birthday parties, Corporate Events, Cultural Festivals, or even fundraisers.... (sorry no all male events).

The MDA Girls are CT's ONLY official Professional Dance Team. They started as a duet group in 2011, and flourished into a full dance academy in 2014. They are led by Kelvia Belly Dance CT. She is the founder, owner, and artistic director of the Middle Eastern Dance Academy of CT. She trains all the MDA Girls in performance technique and entertainment skill.

However, not all MDA Girls are Kelvia's students. Kelvia has a team of professional collaborating artists that work along side her as well. This make the MDA one of the strongest, more versatile Oriental Dance companies in the state! We can truly obtain a wide variety of artistic demonstration to enhance any event! The MDA Girls brings their music on an Ipod. Client should coordinate with their event DJ prior to the event, to ensure that they bring an AUX cable hook up for the ipod to connect to.

For more intimate family events where a DJ is not hired, the Client should provide a sound system with strong volume that hooks up via an AUX cable. Bluetooth set ups are not the most reliable for these types of events.

In instances were a Client does NOT have a DJ nor a sound system, they should inform Kelvia (Artistic Director and Point of Contact) so that she can assign the dancers booked to bring their own portable equipment. Kelvia will need a minimum of 1wk notice to make arrangements to bring the travel speakers. The MDA has two speaker options. One is suitable for large rooms, dining halls, or decks where the audience is near. The other is for larger outdoor locations. The larger speaker will require set up assistance, and should be coordinated with plenty of advanced notice.
