About

ABOUT THE MARSHALL REEVES BAND
Hailing from the Spring City region of the Tennessee Valley, The Marshall Reeves Band has forged a creative path in music stemming from their influences of Classic Rock. Members include bassist David Tissi and drummer Steve Wyatt, guitarists Andrew Sexton and Matt Way. These musicians are the core of the talented band of brothers who are dedicated to the traditions of honest rock and roll, bringing their seasoned craft and experience to the stage. Performing continuously since their formation in 2015, The Marshall Reeves Band has developed a sound that has been affectionately dubbed by their fans as ‘Classic Rock with an edge’. They play a mix of festivals, corporate functions, public and private events along with their favorite….the honky-tonks….really anywhere folks enjoy rich and creative rock music to sing along with and dance to.

BIO- DAVID TISSI
David Tissi, a native from St. Louis Missouri, currently resides in Chattanooga, Tennessee, who can lay down some cool, clean, and tight bass lines in any situation.
Some of his influences include the Beatles, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Eric Clapton, The Moody Blues and the list goes on.
At the young age of 12, David watched a live group called Bob Cuban and the In Men at his local school that got him interested in learning and playing the 6 string electric and acoustic guitar with a homemade amplifier that his dad made for him.
Then at the age of 21, he watched a bass player in a St. Louis nightclub that had him mesmerized.
From that point forward David learned how to play the bass guitar.
David has played at the local Riverbend festival, and with local bands including The Austin Nichols Band and Southern Breeze Band for over 20 years. He also plays in an orchestra at one of the largest churches in Chattanooga.
David is currently a member of a Chattanooga group called Marshall Reeves Band, which plays 70's rock and roll.
Our plans are to tour around the southeast area and to perform our classic rock dance music.

BIO_ MATT WAY
Matt Way began playing the guitar around age 12. Matt did without lessons and learned to play by ear and by reading guitar magazines and deciphering guitar tabs to learn the riffs of players like Billy Gibbons, Buddy Guy, Freddie King, Albert King, Angus and Malcolm Young, Tony Iommi and Jimi Hendrix.
Matt is a self-proclaimed blues player and is a student of the blues, old and new. Matt spent over a decade touring the country playing with multiple AC/DC tribute acts first holding down the rhythm guitar slot and then taking over as Angus and playing and performing as Angus for many miles and years.
Matt is a resident of Chattanooga, TN and has been a Tennessean most of his adult life. Matt continues to play in and around the Chattanooga and central Tennessee areas with The Marshall Reeves Band

BIO_ STEVE WYATT
Steve Wyatt Started drumming at age 6, first show in 8th grade, 50 + years later Steve has evolved into a multi genre drummer ,working with jazz blues funk rock and country bands ..present day rocking with his brothers in MARSHALL REEVES BAND..a tight knit unit of music lovers ...He is a dedicated music lover ..LONG LIVE ROCK AND ROLL

BIO- ANDREW SEXTON
Andrew started playing guitar at age 13, but he knew music had something to offer at an even earlier age. Guitar came natural to him and with three chords under his belt was armed and dangerous. Middle school in the mid 60's was a time of musical exploration. So many new and different songs and sounds. His three best buds and him got together and formed "The Nightriders" and his life was changed forever. My father bought him a Supro guitar and amp..thanks Dad. At an early morning chapel program in the eighth grade he made his debut, playing Mary Mary by the Monkees and Gloria by Van Morrison. Their status changed from nobodies to instant celebrity. Everyone knew them and loved them. That was the beginning of an off and on musical career. Something wonderful changed in his life that day and it's still there. Every time he take the stage, it's there. feels like the first time, as the song goes! The times may have changed but music is everlasting and is a common bond that unites us all. Andrew has met and played with some wonderful people through the years, including his son with whom he is still in a band with part time. 'Andrew is currently fronting a band for the first time in his life, a humbling and challenging commitment. He's far from the best but he gives it his all every time. He thanks God everyday for music and the opportunity to still be able to play.....As Andrew says,"never give up"
