The Lady Lucks - LA's All Female Swing Band

The Lady Lucks are a bold, beautiful and striking all female group that plays hard swingin' tunes from the 1920's-50's. Our feminine charm and bubbly energy brings life to any party. In our most basic configuration, we play the most popular instrumental music from the Swing Era, like In the Mood, American Patrol and Satin Doll with our 6 incredibly talented musicians.

Many of our Ladies are accomplished singers, allowing us to add their unique skills for what best fits the event.

A typical set will last between 45 minutes to 1 hour, taking breaks in between if there are multiple sets in a night.

Lindsay McMurray has been working in Los Angeles since 2003. Her passion for the trombone started at age 10 in a suburb of Seattle, WA. She currently plays in the Disneyland Band, in salsa bands and in swing bands.

Her passion for swing music and her respect for her fellow female musicians has inspired her to start this group. She saw around her such amazingly talented women musicians and wanted to collect them together to make fun and beautiful music.

The Lady Lucks are capable of bringing our own sound system for room capacities of up to 100 people. Access to electricity would need to be provided.

Any space larger than that would need to have the following provided:

1 piano amp
1 bass amp (opt.)
drumset mic kit
1-3 monitors
Speakers
Mixing board

Lighting would need to be provided by the venue.
